William married Louisa SAYLER in 1925 in Morton County, North Dakota. This union was blessed with no less than 5 children; Magdalena, Bernice, Isabell, Oscar and Elmer.

Gust MILLER, 95, Glen Ullin, died Feb. 5, 1998, in Glen Ullin. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MST Monday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Glen Ullin, with burial in Glen Ullin Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Spangelo Funeral Home, Glen Ullin, and will continue at the church one hour before services. A prayer service will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Gust was born March 27, 1902, at Johannestal, Beresan, Odessa, South Russia, to Carl and Rosina (Diede) Miller. He came to the United States with his parents in 1904. They homesteaded near Glen Ullin, where he was raised and educated. He married Martha SAYLER, Nov. 20, 1924, at Hebron. They settled on a farm southwest of Glen Ullin where they engaged in farming until 1967. They retired and moved into Glen Ullin. Martha died July 25, 1996.
He enjoyed music and singing. He entered the Marian Manor Nursing Home in Glen Ullin in September 1991.
He is survived by two sons, Duane and Chester, both of Glen Ullin; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Metzger, Hebron.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Waldy; two brothers; and five sisters.

Leonard J. Cunneen, 77, father of area residents, died Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Mr. Cunneen was a retired captain from the Air Force with 20 years of service. The veteran of World War II and Korea was awarded numerous medals, including the Purple Heart with two oak leaf clusters, the Presidential Unit Citation and Combat Infantry Badge with two stars.
Following his military retirement, he worked as Cleaves Division manager at Virginia Military Institute. He was also a former dietary supervisor at Portsmouth Convalescent Home and was currently employed as the parking supervisor for Scope Convention Center.
Survived by his wife, Marylin O. Cunneen; a daughter, Patricia C. Stewart of Virginia Beach; two sons, Michael J. Cunneen of Williamsburg and Mathew T. Cunneen of Suffolk; and a grandson.
Funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Suffolk, by Joe Parrish. Burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Portsmouth.

Marylin O. Cunneen, 79, of Chesapeake, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, in Portsmouth.
She was born in Boone, Iowa, and was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Capt. L.J. Cunneen, U.S. Army, Retired.
She is survived by one daughter, Pat Stewart and her husband, Richard, of Virginia Beach; two sons, Mike Cunneen and his wife, Linda, of Williamsburg, Va., and Matthew T. Cunneen of Chesapeake; and two grandsons, Joseph Stewart and Kevin Bluxome.
A graveside funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ronald E. Greiser Jr.

BUCKIO, Jeanne Poulton, 84, died Saturday, October 31, 2009, in the Monroe County Care Center.
She was born September 14, 1925, in Woodsfield, Ohio, daughter of James Garfield (Gar) Poulton and Edna Larinda Hubbard Poulton.
Jeanne was educated in Woodsfield where she met and later married her long time love, Frank L. Buckio, Jr. They spent 54 years exploring all that life had to offer.
As a fighter pilot's wife, she became a strong, independent woman, raising her three children on multiple military bases all over the world during two wars.
Jeanne and Frank instilled in their children a deep appreciation and love of family and country.
She was a member of the Woodsfield First United Methodist Church.
Jeanne spent many years working in the retail industry including interior decorating, boutique shops, owner of the Sears Roebuck catalog store, and Der Kinder Haus, a children's clothing store.
She enjoyed traveling the world, meeting new people and establishing new homes for her family.
Her talent in decorating, design and furniture were exhibited in all of her homes.
Her joy in life was the role of an Air Force wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. Frank Leroy Buckio Jr., brother, Lt. Col. Kenneth V. Poulton and one niece.
Jeanne is survived by three children, Jeffrey Charles Buckio and his wife, Melodi, Reno, Nev.; Jennifer Buckio Henthorn and her husband, Mark, Woodsfield, Ohio; Joellen Buckio and her husband, Charles Ephland, Chapel Hill, N.C.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Shane Garfield (Carla) Kuntz, Cambridge, Ohio; Shannon Kuntz (Bill) Winland, Antioch, Ohio; Arianne Buckio (Mitch) Clouse, Dublin, Ohio; Courtney Buckio (Brian) Cherry, Chesterfield, Va. and two great- grandchildren, John Andrew Clouse, Dublin, and Carlee Katlin Kuntz, Cambridge, Ohio. Other survivors include three nieces, three nephews, and their families.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 136 North Main Street, Woodsfield.
Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
The family would like to express their thanks the staff of Monroe County Care Center for the loving care they provided.

Victor Nedens, 75, retired Hardin area farmer, passed away Friday evening, Nov. 29, 2002, in the Big Horn County Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 2nd, 1927, in Lodge Grass, a son of Fred and Elizabeth Young Nedens. He grew up and received his education in Crow Agency, St. Xavier and Hardin. Following his education, he began farming with his parents.
Vic married Lorraine Becker Christman on March 19, 1954, in Hardin, and the couple made their home on their farm south of Hardin, until moving to Hardin in 1959. He worked numerous campaigns of the Holly Sugar Factory, as well as working for Abell's Plumbing, Miles and Ulmer Co., Culligan Water and Burlington Northern. In 1975, the couple moved to Forsyth and farmed until returning to Hardin in 1980, when he farmed with his brother near Hardin, retiring in 1994. Farming and the outdoors were the important aspects of Victor's life.
He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Hardin.
A stepson, Greg Christman; grandson; three sisters and two brothers preceded Vic in death.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine of Hardin; two daughters, Linda (Chip) Towles of Colorado and Cheryl (Bill) Watson of Lodge Grass; two sons, Larry (Vicki) Nedens of Colorado and Kenneth (Theresa) Nedens of Nevada; one stepson, Dennis Christman of Hardin; his sister, Lydia Stricker of Hardin; three brothers, Henry of Wyoming, Harry of Livingston and Bill of Billings; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Wilbert was born June 9, 1925, at Hebron, the son of Edward and Lydia (Miller) Wetzel. He was raised and educated at Glen Ullin. He married Edna Winckler, May 4, 1947, at Bluegrass. They farmed near Glen Ullin. In 1975 they moved into town but continued to farm until retiring in 1992. Wilbert also repaired shoes up until a year ago. He entered Marian Manor Nursing Home, July 21, 1997.
He was a member of Evangelical Congregational Church and Farmers Union.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dennis and Carol, Glen Ullin, Clyde and Lois, New Salem, and Neal and his fiancee, Linda Ewald, Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Angela, Scott, Lisa, Jay and Sara Wetzel; and one brother and sister-in-law, Ewald and Luella, Bismarck.

ilerian Dittus, son of Paul and Edna (Sayler)Dittus was born 24 Feb 1938 in Glen Ullin, ND. But his life was to be a short span. Pneumonia was the cause of his early death on 11 Nov 1938. He reached the age of only 9 months and 20 days. He leaves his deeply bereaved parents and grandparents as well as other relatives. May the love of God comfort the deeply Bereaved parents with the comfort from on high.

Harry William "Bill" Clatworthy III, age 71, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away June 5, 2013, at Willow Brook at Delaware Run. A Celebration of Life Service was held at Old Stone Presbyterian Church, Delaware, Ohio, on Friday, June 14, 2013. A graveside service will be Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone with Rev. Kristin Pike officiating. Burial will follow the service.
Bill was the grandson of David John Conn and Pearl Louise Patterson Conn and great grandson of Hugh Conn and Sarah J. McMechan Conn. The Patterson family owned American Dry Goods Co. eventually renting that space to Montgomery Ward. Bill's mother was baptized at First Presbyterian Church and some of the stained glass windows were donated by the Conn family. His grandfather, David John Conn, owned Nic-O-Let Park, which is still remembered by the older generation in Boone. Bill is being buried at the Patterson Family plot next to his mother.
Bill was born August 30, 1941, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School Class of 1960 and Valley Forge Military Junior College, Wayne, Pennsylvania, Class of 1962. He was employed at Augsburg Lutheran Publishing House in Columbus, Ohio, for 25 years. During that time he resided in Hilliard, Ohio.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Rovena Louise Conn Jordan and stepfather, Captain James A. Jordan, his father Dr. H. William Clatworthy Jr. and stepmother Dr. Nancy Moore Clatworthy and his uncle Captain Richard John Hugh Conn. He will be deeply missed by his surviving family members Diana Clatworthy Morgan (Kent A.); John Conn Clatworthy (Andi); Susan Honor Clatworthy (James Grintz); niece, Maria Morgan Caplin (Thomas) and their two children Anna Morgan Caplin and Marcus Joseph Caplin; Kristin Mueller (Harry); Judge Everett H. Krueger (Becky); Dr. Thomas C. Krueger (Elizabeth); Kathy Barrows (Jeffrey); Nancy Krueger; Harriett DeGraff (John T.); James A. Jordan (Joanie); and his aunt, Mary Jane Clatworthy Ferrari.

JORDAN Rovena Louise Conn Jordan, age 93, of Columbus, OH, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Sunrise at the Scioto. She was born July 11, 1917 in Boone, IA. Rovena was the valedictorian of the Boone High School Class of 1935. In 1939 she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish from Stanford University where she graduated Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and was a member of the Spanish Honorary Sigma Delta. She moved to New York City and worked at Conde Nast Publications for both Vogue and House & Garden magazines. Rovena was actively involved in many community activities in Columbus. She served for 17 years on the Columbus Symphony Orchestra Board and was an honorary lifetime trustee; the Columbus Cancer Clinic as an active member for 30 years including time as President of the Board of Directors; Twig 13 Children's Hospital and Canterbury Unit Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Rovena was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Her interest in languages and linguistics led her to tutor Ph.D. Aeronautical Engineering candidates in Scientific Russian at Ohio State University. Preceded in death by her parents David John and Pearl Louise (Patterson) Conn, brother Captain Richard J.H. Conn, USN Retired (Ann), nephew Brett Conn, husband Captain James Adam Jordan, USN Retired, and her children's father Dr. H. Helen Ulmer, 89, New Salem, died January 09, 1999, in the New Salem nursing home. Services at 1:30 p.m. MST Wednesday, from United Methodist Church, Hebron, with the Reverend Edward parker officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
Helen was born March 13, 1909, in New Salem, the daughter of Harley and Emma (Zarndt) Norton. Helen was raised and educated at New Salem. She and her sister operated the "Cozy Café" in Mandan. She married Ray Bateman in 1928 in Mandan. She married Chesty Dilger at Mandan in 1936. He died in 1962. In 1966 she married Emanuel Ulmer. Following their marriage, the couple farmed southwest of Glen Ullin until 1971, when they moved to New Salem. Helen has resided at Elmcrest Manor for the last two years.
Helen enjoyed flowers and baking. Her lemon and rhubarb pies were among the very best. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hebron.
Survived by her husband, Emanuel; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jeannette Bateman, New Salem; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Eugene Gratz, Minneapolis, and Sharon and Darrell Kirkby, Fargo; stepchildren, Dorothy and Robert Miller, Mandan, Jim and Joyce Ulmer, Bismarck, and Rosemary Ulmer, Yakima, Washington; stepson, Albert Luithle, Mott; two sisters, Evelyn Rigney, New Salem, and Nina Hassebrock, New Salem; two brothers, Bert and Louise Norton, New Salem and Dallas and Ruby Norton, New Salem; one sister-in-law, Esther Becker, and two brothers-in-law, Robert and Wilbur Ulmer.
