Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Scranton with Rev. Joyce Webb officiating. Organist for the service will be Lula Garnes. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 A.M. on Friday until the time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Pat’s name be left at the church or mailed to St. Anthony Regional Hospital Hospice. Born on April 12, 1936 in Salford, Manchester, England, she was the daughter of Charles Edward and Emily Mary (Mitchell) Findlow. Pat grew up in England where she graduated from Kempston Top School in Bedford. Following high school she worked as a secretary. She met her future husband, Jerald Russell, at a dance and the couple was married on August 6, 1955 in Bedford, England. Jerald was Sergeant in the US Army and the couple moved to Alabama until his honorable discharge when they moved to Jefferson, IA and then to Scranton, IA. Jerald and Pat had five children together. Pat was a homemaker and provided daycare in her home. Jerald passed away on January 6, 1977 and Pat was later married to Duane Eberle on August 9, 1984 at the Church of Christ in Scranton. Pat and Duane continued to live in Scranton, and Duane passed away on November 23, 2012. Pat was a true Brit at heart and loved all things about England. She enjoyed afternoon tea with friends and family, dancing, cross stich, and spending time with her family and the trips they took to Wisconsin. Pat will be remembered for her caring nature, contagious laughter, and British humor. She especially enjoyed the pies her granddaughter Emily made. Pat has made her home at the Gardens in Jefferson since September of 2017 where she received excellent, loving care. Pat is survived by her five children: Lynn (Andy), Susan, Gary (Cindy), John (Annette), and Jane (Dale); eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two English sisters: Jean and Glenda; and other extended family members. Services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Banner Township Cemetery. Altha was born on May 4, 1919 on her parents farm near Lum Hollow Stock Farm, just east of Holly Springs, IA. She graduated from Holly Springs High School in 1936. On December 28, 1942, Altha was united in marriage to Stanley Bos. Stan was in the in the United States Army and after the wedding he was stationed in Alabama. Altha soon joined him and worked on the military base, trimming hats and packing coffee. Following his honorable discharge, they moved back to Iowa to raise their family, two daughters; Judy and Patricia. Stan passed away in 1979. Altha was a great seamstress, making doll clothes and outfits for her daughters. She loved the outdoors and spent twenty winters traveling with her sister, Elda and brother in law, Ron, which greatly enjoyed. Altha was a member of the German City Church. Survivors include her daughters, Judy (Ron) Bradley of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Patricia (Gary) Peters of Lawton; sisters, Elda (Ron) Nirenberg of Bend Oregon and Lucille (Ed) Heinse of Anthon; and sister in law, Evelyn Claus of Smithland, IA. Sie war unter anderem Mitglied von PEO, VFW Auxiliary und First United Methodist Church. Sie war nicht nur eine ausgezeichnete Köchin, sondern auch eine hervorragende Künstlerin und Bildhauerin. Hooker, Tulsa, OK, Matt und Jake Hooker, beide Spring Hill; und eine Urenkelin, Annie Jane Hooker, Salina. Lesa Louise Kreil was born March 26, 1963, to Alven R. and Marjorie (Nelson) Kreil at Dickenson, North Dakota, while her parents were on vacation. She grew up in the Devils Lake area, enjoyed being outdoors, and spending her summers at Lakewood beach. Lesa attended Devils Lake Central High School. She later joined the Job Corps. Lesa moved to South Dakota in 1980. She married Art Hinkle. They later divorced. On October 21, 2001, Lesa married Kevin Voss. They made their home at Huron. Lesa worked at Zesto's for many years. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends.Lesa was kind, loving and had a huge heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kevin, on November 12, 2014; and the family cat of 20 years, Rocket. She attended country school through 8th grade before entering and graduating from Sutton High School in 1956. She moved to Lincoln and worked at State Farm Insurance. She was married Maurice Yost on February 14, 1959. They moved to California while Maury was in the service and returned to Sutton in 1960. She helped open Maury's Place in 1965 and was also a homemaker. Ellie was baptized and confirmed at the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Sutton. Ellie and her daughter, Angie, moved to Lincoln in 1992. She was later a member of Southwood Lutheran Church in Lincoln where she enjoyed being involved with the church and volunteered to usher as well. She married David L. Chambers on May 21, 1995. Ellie was the member of many committees and groups, including the Sutton Legion Auxiliary. She had many hobbies, as she was an avid sewer, quilter, crafter, and cake-decorator. She also owned several craft stores while living in Sutton that were full of her own talent and others. Ellie enjoyed spending precious time with her grandchildren, as well as quilting, traveling to Disneyworld, dancing, volunteering at the hospital, and Husker Football. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Mesa, Arizona, where she made a lot of friends and was a member of the Resort Quilting Group. Survivors include her husband, David of Lincoln, NE; daughter, Angie and husband, Jason Bringenberg of Lincoln, NE; son, Ty and wife Annette of Sutton, NE; four grandchildren, Ellie Bringenberg, Jillian Bringenberg, Shelby Yost, and Brody Yost; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Serr and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.
