They had 9 sons and 4 daughters, of which 2 sons and 1 daughter preceded him in death. He and Barbara with some of their children arrived in Canada on May 24, 1902. Their eldest son, Valentine with three of his siblings arrived in Canada on July 17, 1902. The family settled in Logan County, North Dakota on a homestead, where he and Barbara lived their lives. Peter died on March 11, 1923 at a Bismarck hospital. The funeral was on the farm March 16, 1923. Barbara died on November 4, 1930 in Logan County.
