Because Karl was not listed on the 1900 census, we assume that he may have been the child who suffered chronic nosebleeds and became so anaemic, listless and weak, with little that anyone could do to help. His condition worsened...one morning he called his mother and said "This afternoon I am going away,".......indeed that afternoon he passed away. He, too was buried in the private little family homestead plot.
