The nine children were: 1. Alfred Sowers (1829-1894) 2. Lavinia Mary Sowers Reed (1830-1901) 3. Elisabeth Lucinda Sowers Barmes (1832-1919) 4. Emanuel Sowers (1834-1924) 5. Charles S. (or Landford?) Sowers (1836-1911) 6. Sarah Frances Sowers (1839-1854) 7. Lucy Ann Sowers Holder (1842-1927) 8. Nancy Emmeline Sowers Holder (1844-1914) 9. John Franklin Sowers (1846-p1860) After Rebecca died Matthias remarried to the widow Charlotte Maria Shore Reed/Reid (1820-1896) with whom he had a daughter: 10. Susan Sowers (b. c1859) Nothing is known of Matthias' youngest two children, John Franklin or Susan. Their first two children were born in North Carolina and then sometime between 1833 and 1838 the family moved to the Moravian community of Hope, Bartholomew County, Indiana. Francis and Justina were the parents of six known children, namely: 1. Thomas Rominger (1830-1876) 2. Lucetta Rominger Hauser (1833-1894) 3. Mary Rominger (1838-1894) 4.
