Jeanette "Jeanie" Fuller, 67, passed away at Torrington Community Hospital on November 21, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer and health complications stemming from her treatments. She was blessed to be surrounded by her loving family and friends when she peacefully joined the angels.
Jeanette, daughter of Henry and Margaret (Krantz) Weickum, was born July 3, 1948 in Torrington, Wyoming. She wore several hats in her life when it came to work, from owning K&K Kampground in Lingle, Wyoming to being a dispatcher for the Torrington Police Department, working at Leithead’s Appliances, and over the last twenty years being a devoted grandma and great grandmother.
Those who knew Jeanette knew that you wouldn’t be able to leave her house without a full stomach, a listening ear, the advice you needed, and a snack bag to-go. Her hobbies included cooking for the neighborhood, family and friends, crocheting, crafting, holiday decorating, gambling, and being in the company of anyone who needed a little love. Now we need to carry on her memory and legacy by opening our doors and hearts and living with love and kindness....and great food.
Jeanette is survived by her husband Marion Fuller; her three children, Jody (Mark) Shimic of Yoder, Wyoming, Lenae (Brad) Schwartzkopf of Torrington, Wyoming, and Tim Babbitt of Lyman, Nebraska; one stepson Jon Paul Burden of Severance, Colorado; three stepdaughters, Janet Fuller of Denver, Colorado, Bev (Brad) Ellsworth of Denver, and Joyce Fuller of Minatare, Nebraska; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; her three siblings, Larry (Sandy) Weickum of Rawlins, Wyoming, Linda Adams of Hawk Springs, Wyoming, and Terry (Debbie) Weickum of Rawlins; and many close nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father Henry Weickum Jr; mother Margaret (Krantz) Weickum; and a nephew Brent Adams.
