  www.findagrave.com: www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=62271117 Mrs. Magdalena Schwind, wife of Simon Schwind of Wishek, North Dakota passed away in a Bismarck hospital last Saturday morning (March 11, 1939). Death was caused by pneumonia. Magdalena Dockter was the daughter of Jacob and Magdalena Dockter. She was born at Venturia, North Dakota on August 29, 1987. On December 7, 1917 she was united in marriage to Simon Schwind. Their first home was on a farm near Zeeland; later they resided near Wishek, and in 1918 became residents of the city. Five children were born to them of which the following survive the mother: Milton, 20, Esther 14, and Violet 12. Besides these children and her husband, she is mourned by the following: one sister, Martha Lehr, Hillsview, S.D; four brothers: Fred and August Docker, Venturia; Christoph Dockter, Linton; Adam Dockter, Boulder Colorado; four half brothers; Jacob and Gottlieb Dockter, Venturia; Jacob Stroh, Venturia; John Stroh, Wishek; four half sisters: Mrs. John D. Stroh, Wishek; Mrs. John Dockter, Ashley; Mrs. August Dockter and Mrs. Jacob Schlepp, Venturia; her step mother: Mrs Jacob Dockter, Venturia. Funeral services were held in the local Reformed church, Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Eric Kaempchen officiating. The News, March 16, 1939 (with some corrections for spelling)
