PEORIA, IL - Robert D. "Z" Zimbelman, age 49, of Peoria passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Proctor Hospital.
He was born May 23, 1964, in Peoria to Robert F. and Mary R. (Askew) Zimbelman. He married Kim M. Adams on Feb. 14, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Bartonville; seven children, Katie (Rob) Wisell and Bethany and Breanna Zimbelman, all of Colorado, and Christopher, Jessica, Matthew and Whitney Aitken of Peoria and Michigan; five grandchildren; and one sister, Terri (Steve) Shue of Peoria.
Robert was currently working as an Inspector for Caterpillar Inc.
He was a retired United States Army veteran, serving 20 years. During his time in the military, he proudly served his country in several overseas conflicts.
Graveside services will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, with military honors.
