Guy F.E. Chismar of Chamberbsurg, died unexpectedly in the emergency room of the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD. on June 14, 1997.
Born August 23, 1944 in Shelbyville, Ind., he was the son of Frank E. and Vivian Fisher Chsimar.
He graduated in 1963 from the Carson Long Military Academy in New Bloomfield, PA. On March 6, 1979 he married M. Jane Reilly.
Guy was the general manager of the Family Time Restaurant in Hagerstown and for 10 years he owned the Cutting Board Eatery in the Chambersburg Mall.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Burt J.. Asper Post 46 American Legion. After serving in the army, he served for 10 years in the Harrisburg. PA National Guard. While in the National Guard, he received honors for his participation in rescue efforts during Hurricane Agnes.
In addition to his wife, he was survived by two daughters, Laura Wingert Halter and Cindy Wingert Pilgrim; and son Charles E. Wingert. Jr.
