Madeline June Trumpower, 65, of 12403 Emory Lane, Hagerstown, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 20, 1936, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Edwin Burke and Edna L. Mann Burke.
Her husband, E. Leon Trumpower, died in 1986.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Clear Spring.
She also was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 77 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
She is survived by two sons, Michael L. Trumpower of Hagerstown, and Gregory L. Trumpower of Clear Spring; three sisters, Gloria Butts of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Edwinia Miller and Eileen Hovermale, both of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Edwin Burke of Hancock; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one aunt; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Clear Spring. The Rev. Stephen Robertson will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring, today from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 77 of Berkeley Springs.
