He was born in Monroe County, Ohio, August 30, 1922, a son of the late Thomas and Mabel Goodhart Uppole. He was a coal truck and school bus driver and employed as a parts man and mechanic for Lashley's Tractor Sales. He was also a member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Martha Kahrig Uppole, of Lewisville; a daughter, Mrs. Ben (Karen) Ackerman, of Lewisville; a son, Dennis Uppole, of Lewisville; a sister, Mrs. Linza (Viola) Stephens, of Calais, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Uppole; a sister, Emma Wheeler; an infant sister, Florence. Graveside services and interment will be held February 3 at 1 p.m. at the Friendship cemetery, Lewisville, with Minister Harry Summers officiating.
