  www.findagrave.com: www.findagrave.com/memorial/155152617/david-krause David KRAUSE born 18 January 1882 at Alt Posttal, Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia was the son of Gottfried KRAUSE and Christina SEPT. David at the age of 15 with his step-parents, Gottlieb and Barbara (HELLER) FODE and their children; Gottlieb, David, Andreas, Lydia and Johann; plus his sister, Louise and his half-siblings; Paul, Ottilia and Gotthilf, immigrated to America via the Port of Bremen, Germany on the 9th of November 1897 aboard the SS "Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse" and arrived at the Port of New York, New York on the 17th of November 1897. The family's final destination was recorded as Kulm, LaMoure County, North Dakota. David married Eva KREIN in about 1902 in LaMoure County, North Dakota. This union was blessed with 4 children; Walter, Arthur, Marvin P and Edna. In 1911 the David KRAUSE family moved to the Walsh area within Saskatchewan, Canada. Then in 1923 the family returned to the United States to Lodi, California were he worked as a butcher until retirement. David KRAUSE at age 69, died in December 1951 at Lodi, California.
