Age 89, of Hamilton, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Hamilton on December 11, 1925, the daughter of Albert and Irene (Zinsmeister) Zimbelman. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School. Marge married Don G. Schick in Hamilton on October 5, 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1982. She and Don enjoyed many years at their cottage in Celina. She began her career as a salesperson for Tots to Teens, Youth Clothing Store, eventually owning the store and retiring in 1977. After the death of her husband, she provided day care for many children at her home until 2003. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Women of Zion Organization, a lifetime auxiliary member of the Hamilton Boat Club and a group of friends known as the "S" Club. She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Jeff) Peters, Ross Township; her son, James (Geri) Schick, Eaton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Chris (Beth Wurtzler) Jones, Angela (Tom) Taylor, Ben (Nikki Taylor) Peters, Richard (Tina Lay) Schick, Tina (Kerry) Miller and Shawna Henry and four great grandchildren, Sophia and Sydney Taylor and Shelby and Miles Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Tom and Bill Zimbelman and her sister, Norma LeBus. The family wishes special thanks to Hospice of Southwest Ohio and all of their staff for their care and support and especially Tabetha Morelock for her loving care and support over the last three years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Pastor Joe Schrock officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church, 212 S. Front Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011, Hospice of Southwest Ohio, 7264 Camargo Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45243 or the American Diabetes Association , 644 Linn Street, Suite 304, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
