Barbara Grubaugh was born in 1786 to Michael Grubaugh and Peggy ??. She moved with the family to Jefferson County, OH in the early 1800s. She married George Friend, Jr. on 24 May 1805 in Jefferson County.
Sometime in the 1810s, the family moved to Vermillion, OH in Ashland County (then Richland County).
Barbara and George had at least 11 children.
George died sometime between 1830 and 1840 and Barbara married Robert Ellison.
The family moved to Jackson in DeKalb County, IN shortly before 1850 and are found there in 1850 with several of Barbara's children.
Barbara reportedly died on 11 Sep 1852 in DeKalb County. Her death is reported (as Barbara Allison) in the DeKalb County History, published in 1885.
The disposition of Barbara's remains weren't provided so I have placed her in the same cemetery as her son, Jacob, and his family.
No confirmation of this placement has yet been received.
