Alice Zimbelman, 74, of Palmer, Nebraska, died Friday, January 7, 2000 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.
Mrs. Zimbelman was born February 7, 1925 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Herman and Elsie (Killinger) Kurz. She grew up in Grand Island and Merrick County and attended country schools.
She married John Zimbelman on February 7, 1948 in Palmer. The couple farmed west of Palmer. Mrs. Zimbelman also worked at the Ramada Inn in Grand Island for several years and was active in community service.
She enjoyed fishing, reading, listening to polka music, dancing and the outdoors.
Mrs. Zimbelman was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Palmer.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Jim of Grand Island; one daughter, Linda Malesker, of Grand Island; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
