Two independent extractions indicate Johannes was born on this date. Was there also an unrecorded twin sister?- Later: The birth entry has been reexamined. The name given is clearly Johannes and the sex is indicated as male. The sponsors were Johannes Wolf, Kol., Luisa Bertsch, and Magd. Rau. Usually, for a male child there would be two male sponsors and one female sponsor. Likewise, for a female child there would be two female sponsors and one male sponsor. The makeup of the sponsors would indicate that this was a female birth. Conclusion: The recorder must have entered the name Johannes by mistake and then went on to make the second mistake of indicating a male child. This is clearly Louise and Johannes never existed.
