Notizen - Debharrvey:
!From MD, 1990 He is (was?) in prison. From Olga Kondratenko. He was born in 1914, married Marta Danilovna Wiest, was lost during the war. They had two children (possibly died in the war). Olinda Weitzel says that Emil had a wife (still living as of Jan. '91 near Taldy-Kurgan) as well as three sons. Emil's sons want to move to Germany, they now have their necessary papers. From Olinda Weitzel, Oct.2, 1991; "When the war broke out in 1941 all German people had to leave Friedrichsfeld for the Kustanai area; in 1942 Emil was sent to the Trudarme (gulag-work army) and Marta stayed with us; in November of 1942 Marta was taken away and in Ferbuary, 1943 I was taken away, so that neither of us knew where the other was, until you letter arrived, I hadn't heard anything about Marta. Rosa, Marta, Daniel and Rudolf Wiest are not our (immediate) family."
!From Alma Wolsey (May 11, '92)--information from Olga Kondratenko--"In Jan. 1942 Emil was sent to work camp. Marta stayed with Wilhelm and Katerina Wiest. In November, 1942 Marta was drafted. In 1943 Olinda was drafted, lost track of Marta and others until Bill Wiest of Portland wrote to her (Olinda)." From Christian, 16 June, 1993, date of death as 1984
