Larry Joe Zimpleman, 55, of Kirklin, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Witham Hospital in Lebanon. Mr. Zimpleman was born Aug. 30, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Kenneth L. Zimpleman and Rosemary (Allen) Zimpleman. Reared and educated in Indianapolis, he graduated from Arlington High School in 1971.
Mr. Zimpleman was a self-employed artist with a special interest in sculpturing. He also was an antique dealer. He was married to Jenifer Marie Evans and she preceded him in death. Mr. Zimpleman was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed his family, art, antiques and life.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Rosemary (Allen) Stewart and husband Charles W. Stewart Sr. of Palm Springs, CA; one daughter, Addy Marie Zimpleman of Kirklin; one brother, Terry E. Zimpleman and wife Teresa Marie of Indianapolis; one sister, Nancy J. Demirhan and fiancée Steve Pricolo of Campbell, CA; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his wife and father.
Visitation is planned for noon to 2 PM Tuesday at Myers Mortuary, Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Chaplain Terri Thorn officiating. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in Lafayette.
