Veta G. Nuss, 89 passed away June 13, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be on Saturday June 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. At St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Allen Strawn officiating. Burial will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Veta was born April 27, 1922 in Bridgeport to John W. and Elsie J. (Moore) Middleswart. She attended Bridgeport Public Schools. Veta and Victor Nuss were united in marriage on January 2, 1943 in Bridgeport. She enjoyed gardening and a good game of golf. Veta was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter Velma (Norman) Wemhoff of Omaha and son Vern Nuss of Bridgeport. Brother Clayton Middleswart of Bridgeport and a sister Fernell Read of Bend, Oregon. Five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband Vic on July 7, 2006; 2 brothers and 4 sisters as well as 4 step-brothers preceded her in death.
