The Reverend Simon A. Lehman, Jr. was born on January 15, 1926 and went to his heavenly reward Jan 28, 2010. He was a retired minister of the Brethren in Christ Church and served as Pastor of the Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ church, the Roseglen Brethren in Christ Church, the West Shore Brethren in Christ Church, Fairview Brethren in Christ Church and the Mowersville Brethren in Christ Church.
He was born into a family of 7 brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife Betty G. Lehmand of Mechanicsburg, PA, a son P. Kenneth of Chambersburg, PA, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a step-mother, brothers Robert and Earl, and sisters Pauline and Glady's, and survived by brothers Charles of Newville, PA, Ronald (Jack) of Newville, PA. and a sister Betty of Newville, PA.
Simon has served on many and numerous Boards and Committees of the Brethren in Christ Church, helped to begin and planted 3 daughter churches.
Funeral Services will be held in the Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1st.
There will be a viewing Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the church.
Burial will be in Longsdorf Cemetery New Kingstown.
