    Rosemarie Loretta Mayer was born on February 3, 1928 to Walter and Elsie (Anholtz) Eisenbraun in Virgil, South Dakota. She was baptized on April 29, 1928 by Rev. F. W. Lyle. She attended grades 1 through 6 at Hitchcock, South Dakota. In 1939, her family moved to Tripp, South Dakota to live on her grandfather Theodore Eisenbraun’s farm. Following her grandfather’s death in 1941, the farm was sold and the family made their new home inside of Tripp. Rosemarie attended Tripp High School and graduated in May 1946. She was confirmed in the Christian faith at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Tripp on April 3, 1942 by Rev. J.R. Sheppard. She would go on to be a lifelong, faithful member of the church.
    On April 13, 1947, Rosemarie was united in marriage to Alvin R. Mayer at Emmaus Lutheran Church, Tripp. This union was later blessed with five children. Rosemarie was a busy mother and homemaker. While the children were in school, she also worked as an office clerk for NorthWestern Public Service from 1961 to 1969. She later worked for the family business.
    Rosemarie was an active member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church and served in the LWML and by teaching Sunday school. She was also a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 142. She enjoyed golf, hiking, swimming, and watching the many sports her children participated in. Alvin and Rosemarie enjoyed many years wintering in Arizona.
    Rosemarie passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society - Luther Manor in Sioux Falls, South Dakota having attained the age of 91 years, 3 months, and 8 days.
    She is survived and remembered by her children: Terry (Andrea) Mayer of Sioux Falls, SD, Lonnie (Melinda) Mayer of Tripp, SD, Richard (Teri) Mayer of Tripp, SD, and Brett (Carla) Mayer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Rundall of Salem, SD; brother Franklin (Dina) Eisenbraun of Collierville, Tennessee.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years on May 24, 1999, her parents, son Alvin “JR” Mayer, brother Clarence Eisenbraun, and sisters Marjorie Eisenbraun and Bernice Bollack.

    RoseMarie heiratete Mayer, Alvin Rudolph am 13 Apr 1947 in Tripp, Hutchinson County, South Dakota, USA.
