    Edward C. Walker was born August 22, 1867, in Jackson, Missouri.
    He was married to Margaret McClintock, and she preceded him in death on August 1, 1924.
    He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harry Zimbleman of Murphysboro; one brother, George Walker of Murphysboro; and one sister, Mrs. Ella Swafford of Murphysboro.
    He was a retired barber, and made his home in Murphysboro with his brother George.
    Mr. Walker died at the age of 82 on Monday, August 21, 1950, at his brother’s home.

    The Daily Independent, Monday, January 6, 1936:
    Kenneth Zimbelman, age 14, and his friend, Willie Wohlwend, age 9, drowned in the Big Muddy river when ice broke under them. John Bartlett, the third boy in the party, ventured onto the ice to aid the boys in the water. He was unsuccessful so then ran for aid at the filter plant, calling for Harry O'Banion. Louie Sweitzer responded in Mr. O'Banion's absence. A local "colored man" who lived nearby, firemen, and Louie Brusati tried to save the boys / find their bodies. Respiration efforts were to no avail. Dr. J. A. Weatherly pronounced the young men dead.
    Kenneth Zimbelman was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Zimbelman. He was born July 19, 1921 at Murphysboro. He was survived by his parents and a grandfather, Ed Walker of Murphysboro.
    A double funeral service was held at St. Peter's Evangelical church on Spruce street, with Rev. Wichman officiating.

    Gilbert Zimbelman was born Jan. 16, 1936, in Murphsyboro, the son of Harry L. and Helen Walker Zimbleman.
    He married Joan Riggio on Aug. 11, 1967, in Murphysboro. She survives as well as two children, Rebecca Ann Zimbelman and Mark Alan Zimbelman, both at home.
    Mr. Zimbelman was a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict, and a member of American Legion Post 127 and the VFW Post 7190, both of Murphysboro.
    He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Murphysboro and the Knights of Columbus Council 988 of Murphysboro, where he was a 4th Degree Knight.
    Mr. Zimbelman began his duties as superintendent for the Illinois Department of Public Aid Office in Jackson County on July 16, 1976. He had been employed by the Dept. of Public Aid since Nov. 16, 1962.
    A registered and certified social worker for the state, Mr. Zimbelman was a member of the Jackson County Welfare Services Committee, and a past member of the Illinois Association of Public Welfare Administrators.
    Mr. Zimbelman died at the age of 50 in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Murphysboro.

    Gilbert heiratete Riggio, Joan am 11 Aug 1967 in Murphysboro, Jackson County, Illinois, USA.
